On Sunday Wittenberg Gate will host a Bloggers' Best for Terri Schiavo. Any blogger may submit one best post on behalf of preserving Terri Schivo's life or closely related subjects such as care for the disabled or euthanasia. Anyone who does not write a blog may also submit an article or just a few quick lines by including the entire text in an email. Submissions should be sent to this email address by noon Saturday, EST. More details and submission instructions are available here.
We've had some wonderful submissions already. Let's shine some more light on this disabled woman's plight!
UPDATE: I've got close to 40 entries already, but more time tonight than I thought I would originally have, so I will keep accepting entries from folks who missed the deadline.
To all interested parties: Terri is only in another world -right now- yes, her body is not here, but, she is growing and healing on another realm... she will be back with us... when? ...when ready!!! She did do something to her body --- Earth's vehicle, under repair(s) at present. Thank you for taking this into consideration, and please, pass this on to all appropriate people fighting for her life. As some of you already know, life is manifested in many different ways, and ALL are counted, not all that meets the eyes, is what IS... life comes in all shapes, forms, packages... she seems vegetating when comparing her state in life, to our way of life, still she is very much alive. Having watched videos of Terri, and read everything in detail on both sides of this argument, im very confused and nervous.
The videos show a very much aware, and reactive woman, the nurses and doctors who have seen her or the videos see the same, but Greer, Michael, and Felos all see a different thing. hmmm ok, so if Greer and co are correct, where is the harm in calling a stay and giving Terri a FULL new medical test, if these men are right, where is the harm in seeing if she can be fed naturally, if these men are right, why not allow Terri's parents the right to video her and bury her???? i think i know why, and im not expert, its because they DARE NOT!!! After so long denying all, they would lose everything to be proved wrong now, they would sooner allow Terri to be murdered and everything covered up nice and cleanly. I challenge you Greer and co.. test Terri, a full and unbiased testing by volunteer specialists, if you are right, we can all sleep better, but if you are wrong, i hope to hell you never get placed where she is.

As a member of the human race I cannot tell you how distressed and depressed I am re: the decicion that has been made to starve Terri to death.I cant imagine how her parents and other family members can cope with this.Im so ashamed to admit I live in fl.After seeing this carried out it,s apparent our government has more respect for hard core criminals than it does for Terri.I believe her so called husband must certainly be the antichrist and all the so called humans that were involved in the decision to murder Terri in the name of "humain"ity need to realize this.GOD IS A ALL SEEING ALL KNOWING GOD AND IF WERE YOU I WOULD BE VERY WORRIED.

I can't believe that congress and the President have made a law to Insert the feeding tube back into Terri, but the judge still says no. How does this judge have the right to over rule anything Congress or the President have said yes to. It doesn't make sence to me. I think this judge should be fired. While I do not agree that a court system should decied if she should live or not. I also think her "Husband" is ridiculous. Why does he want her to die so badly? Money, his new life? Divorce her if she is such a burden, go on with your life since you already have and let her parents take care of her as they have all her life. If she dies, her MURDER will be on the judge and her husbands hands.

I HAVE A BRAIN DAMAGED SISTER DUE TO A DOCTORS MISTAKE, SHE IS WORSE OFF THAN TERRI, HER HUSBAND VISITS HER EVERY DAY OF HER LIFE AND SPENDS HOURS WITH HER THIS MAN NEEDS TO DIVORCE TERRI, LET THE MOTHER THAT GAVE TERRI LIFE HAVE HER IN HER LIFE. THIS IS ABSURB THAT PEOPLE PLAY GOD HERE WITH A YOUNG WOMANS LIFE. SHE IS A HUMAN BEING. SOON IT WILL COME TO OOPS THIS CHILD IS NOT PERFECT LETS THROW IT AWAY BECAUSE WE DO NOT WANT SOMEONE TO LIVE A LIFE THAT IS UNPRODUCTIVE. THIS IS JUST INSANE. LET TERRI LIVE LET HER HAVE A CHANCE. SHE APPEARS NOT TO BE IN PAIN AND IS NOT UNCONFORTABLE SHE DESERVES WATER AND FOOD. I WOULD AGREE NO CPR IF SHE WOULD GO IN CARDIAC ARREST OR NO LIFE SAYING BLOOD TRANSFUSIONS BUT DO PLEASE GIVE HER FOOD AND WATER AND LET THIS HUSBAND NOT BENEFIT FROM MOVIE AND BOOK DEALS OVER THIS CASE. HE HAS A MOTIVE FOR SURE. THANKS

My heart is torn to pieces. How is it possible that Terri Schiavo be considered as a number. I know the law is sometimes hard as a rock. Apparently her husband has the power over her life or her death. I ask if in any part of the US Constitution it is said that the husband is entitled to let the wife die of thirst and hunger? Wouldn´t it be more human to pass an inmediate special law divorcing her from her executioner. Is the justice of the greatest country in the world, defensor of the human rights, of the true, of democracy to remain as is nothing is happening? Regarding this issue it seems to me that there is little difference when Hitler through his medical staff forced the death of thousands for not fulfilling the espectations of the arian race, many in the same condition as Terri.
Shall we tell our children that America was unable to solve this problem? Those who can do something and are not moving a finger are participating in the assassination of a poor soul. My tears will come every day to my eyes for this monstruosity if this aberration occurs.

Since Michael Schiavo will not allow Terri to have a proper burial and insist on cremating her , (was that cremation also her wishes also Michael ?) or just another way to control and cover up, when Michael does cremate Terri , I think Terri supporters should go to Michael and Jodi home on MARRIE CT CLEARWATER, FL (off of Enterprise) around the clock to mourn Terri forever and I hope the public will never let them live in peace. but remind them daily that the public will never forget that they murdered Terri. I also believe Jodi was part of this murder. Terri will have the last word after the autopsy .Terri go in peace and be with God

I have just read the comments that Michael Schiavo brother gave about how wrong the Schindler's have done Micheal from day one- That they classified him as a vicious murderer. Michael is in class all his own and does not even deserve to be in a class with murderers. He is lower than that. He tried to convience everyone that his concerns were for Terri's dignity. What does this man know about dignity! I think dignity walked out the door when he would visit his "wife" at her hospital bedside and then go home to his "woman" and children at night. I no longer have any kind of faith in a justice system that would let this killing take. Anyone who would put a parent through what Michael Schiavo did deserves some much needed prayer. So each night, Michael, I will pray that you will eventually experience the same kind of pain that you and have caused for that family. For you, God will be the Judge and if he can't give some justice for Terri and her family, I guess I just can't have faith in his justice system either!

I have a question more than a comment. If a youth group was wanting to use their school audiotorium as a place of worship on sundays what liabilities might the school and our youth group be facing? Would there be a reason for the administration to deny us from using it? Oh, and we live in Eureka, KS. I don't know if that would help. Our reason for wanting to do this is that in our church we are restricted on what we can and can't do during worship. We want to be able to express ourselves fully in worship. This would also allow a nondenominational feel within the community, there is no such thing as a nondenominational church in Eureka, and could bring people in a more comfortable environment for adults, students, youth of all ages, and it may be able to fnally unite the youth groups of this town. If you were able to find out something for me or even just tell me where to look I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.
God Bless,
Adam
