Wittenberg Gate Debate
Diane is willing to debate against the Emergent Church (meaning pulling away from the institutional church). Adrian is willing to debate for the classic understanding of the doctrine of penal substitution. Brad is willing to debate on the topic of discipleship programs in the church. Email or comment to accept a challenge or to put forth your own.

Vox Apologia
A new apologetics carnival, called Vox Apologia, posted for the second time today. You can access the links to the contributed posts at RazorsKiss. There is also an aggregator associated with this site, so if you write a blog with a worldview/apologetics emphasis, consider adding your blog to the aggregator.

If you'd like to contribute to next week's Vox Apologia, the deadline is Sunday night/Monday morning, at midnight, EST. Next week's theme is Euthanasia, and it will be hosted by Mr. Dumpling.

Christian Carnival
This week's Christian Carnival will be hosted by Digitus, Finger & Co. I haven't seen a deadline yet, but submissions are generally due sometime on Tuesdays, and the Carnival posted on Wednesdays. Posts on any topic (not necessarily religious) are welcome from any Christian blog writer.

The Decablog
This is a newly-formed association of Evangelical Christian bloggers who wish to promote the Christian voice in the blogosphere. You can read more about it here. Wittenberg Gate is one of the participating blogs. A list of the others will be kept on my right sidebar. These folks are willing to receive emails with questions, requests for links, and the like, so drop us a line. This is a great resource for smaller blogs, and new blogs. Also, check out the aggregator page here. Thanks to Adrian Warnock for organizing this effort (or as he would say, organising this effort).

A Challenge

I am starting a series on discipleship in the church which is an opening to the debate topic. This is not my primary motivation for the post series but if it generates debate that would be positive. The theme is that a radically new form of discipleship is necessary to reform the practice of the church. Some view the need for radical change as unnecessary. I beg to differ.
